Tasting notes (selected quotes from top critics)
“Pale copper pink. Perfumed floral ripe fruit with soft buttery barley-sugar richness. On the palate: mellow honey, beeswax, dried apricots and bright wild red berries, balanced by a slightly pithy green-apple acidity and stony minerality. Intriguing, honeyed, long saline mineral finish — aged and mellowed with amazingly vibrant acidity.” — Elizabeth Gabay MW, Decanter
“Absolutely beautiful. Amazing plummy ripe notes and black cherry on the nose. More depth, character and aromatic quality — ripe, fruit-forward with finesse and elegance. Because it’s Merlot it has more chew and fullness of body yet remains mouth-watering and elegant. We LOVE the Copper Rosé 2021.” — Tom Surgey, UK wine judge and presenter

A lighter-style Shiraz showing elegant cool-climate expression. Deep crimson with a maroon edge. The bouquet offers ripe black fruits with Morello cherry and raspberry, complemented by delicate violet lift. Eight months in French oak has added subtle complexity without dominating the fruit, producing soft, plush tannins and a gentle savoury thread. Ready to enjoy now, it pairs equally well with food or on its own.

The opulent charcoal tones of chalcocite mirror the sumptuous character of our Cabernet Sauvignon.
Deep vermilion with cerise edges, the wine opens with savoury black-fruit aromas and subtle herbal nuances that weave through plush, savoury tannins.
The palate is dense and refined, unfolding layers of Christmas cake spice, concentrated purple plum, blackcurrant and a hint of mineral leaded-iron. It finishes long, decadent and velvety.
Bold, unapologetically generous.
